Every family keeps an album of the good days. This is ours: a small personal care home on thirty quiet acres, run by a family, filled with days worth photographing.

No two days match, but the good parts repeat.

Breakfast cooked to order, coffee refilled without asking.

Live music, garden club, games, or a quiet chair by the fire.

Fresh air on thirty acres, weather permitting. It usually permits.

Dinner on linens, family welcome at the table.
chapter two
Three levels of care in one home, the same faces at breakfast — and hospice support brought in when it's needed.

A gentle hand with bathing, dressing, and medications. Meals, laundry, and housekeeping all handled.

A secure, familiar neighborhood where residents with memory loss are met with patience, in their now.

Days or weeks of full care while the family caregiver rests. Many call it their trial run.

Trusted outside hospice agencies come to Mount Vernon, so no one has to leave the room that feels like home.

Every suite was renovated last year. Wood floors, a comfortable new bed, morning light, and a call button that reaches a real person in seconds.

why this place exists
The owners aren't in an office somewhere off-site. They're in the halls, at resident birthday celebrations and are an everyday presence.
The family renovated the home end to end and reopened it with the whole town at the door. Every Google review since has been five stars.

Every Google review. All 22 of them.
“I have had my wife in several different facilities. Mt Vernon is a HOME.”
“They were truly angels, not only to my loved one but also to myself, family and friends.”
“It was a home away from home.”
